Our origins can be traced to Afghanistan and we are the descendants of Takshaks who came to be known as Tak, Tank, etc. Our ancestors founded the historic city of Takshila which was invaded by Alexander The Great. Today, our community is primarily found in the districts of Delhi and Karnal in Punjab.
